The key Factor in any organization's success is its Core, its backbone.  From this solid foundation one can then proceed to build an empire; however, sole responsibility cannot be placed on its origin alone.  Success comes through perseverance, talent, luck, and the ability to utilize the latest trends and technology to its advantage. This is precisely Core Factor's goal.  They are a hard hitting band that believes in writing great songs with good melodies first, ie. the backbone.  From this core they then add personality and flavor from a variety of styles including the utilization of samples, programming, turn-tables, you name it; as well as crunchy guitar riffs and stylized drumming.  These attributes combined with a great sense of style, fashion, energy, and ethics, create an awesome force that is sure to be recognized as a true up and coming band in the near future.
The current lineup of Drew Fisher (Droo), Marc Bedinghaus (mb), Jesse Bedwell (Jes), and Bret Bedinghaus (Bones) first joined forces during the summer of 2002 in order to play a short club tour. Original members Droo and mb had been playing together in Core Factor since the inception of the band in 1998. They have surpassed 200 shows together and their experience has led them to share the stage with accomplished artists such as Seven Mary Three, Bowling For Soup, Space Cadet, and early shows with Element 80 as well as numerous shows for radio station 97.1 The Eagle, in Dallas, TX.  They recorded a full length album entitled Album One in 1999 which sold well locally and is still available on Amazon.com. After a four-year run as a touring original/party band, Core Factor left the scene briefly in 2001 as Droo headed to Vermont for spiritual and educational enhancement. The short summer tour of 2002 loomed ahead, however, as Droo returned to Texas and joined up with new members Jes and long time friend Bones (brother of original member mb) to form the present roster. Bones and Jes, both former members of Wizard (who opened up for Pantera in their late glam-rock phase), brought a new level of talent and maturity to the rhythm section of Core Factor. After the success they enjoyed during the summer 2002 run and the vibe created onstage with the new lineup, Core Factor rekindled the flames of old and hit the practice room to create an album that would redefine their sound and image.

Their latest release, Samsara, features a sound likened to artists such as Stabbing Westward, Linkin Park, Adema, Crystal Method, and several other high quality bands who mix elements from varying backgrounds to create unique sounds.  To help display their general love of music, the band welcomed several guest writers on Samsara such as long time friend and former Lynch Mob singer Kirk Harper.  In addition to the full length album, a brand new demo was recently completed and features two hit songs from Samsara, “Dead Inside” and “Because.”  The band felt honored that DFW's own renowned producer, Eric Delegard from Reel Time Audio, offered to record and produce the demo.  Eric has recorded such bands as Unloco, Bowling for Soup, Element 80, Edgewater, Jibe as well as countless other talented bands from the area.  Core Factor and Eric's combined efforts produced a well polished disc which is now being shopped to labels and radio stations across the country.

Though the band is now complete and functions as a true unit, individual talents continue to shine and further develop on the new discs. Droo incorporates both high energy power vocals and soft melodic voices to deliver a diverse performance. This integration provides Core Factor with a distinct sound that infuses addictive melodies with pure emotion. The harmonies created by Droo and mb are reminiscent of bands like Alice in Chains and display their vast musical background. In addition to his harmonizing and hip-hop contributions on the new album, mb lays down thick guitar riffs balanced with lyrically expressive raps. Combined with his intricate programming skills, a new sound has begun to define Core Factor.  Jes has brought with him the experience of a seasoned veteran and the power and consistency needed to construct top-notch bass grooves. His ability to keep the crowd moving and his rhythmical tightness with Bones provide a solid foundation. As a drummer, Bones is constantly seeking the perfect balance between raw aggression and technical supremacy. His work ethic is tremendous and he knows how to spice up a song with a twirl of his fingers. None of these members, however, carry the load individually. An energetic show coupled with the new music and efforts coming from Core Factor constantly redefine them; and their emergence onto both the local and regional music scenes is forthcoming.
