Well, trax were travelling quickly but we hit a wall.  mb is now dealing with a nerve problem in his leg which has got him out of commission for the time being.  We will keep you updated on his status and hopefully we will be back up and running and hitting the album hard very soon.  In the mean time, here is a small mp3 clip of some of the D.T.A. guitar trax after editing. Check it out...

hey guys, we have made a final decision on the track listing for "CHEMICAL BALANCE." We had about 14-16 tracks available and instead of doing most of them, we decided to do 2 short albums of 8-10 songs. This way we can get the first one out to you ASAP. The tracks for "CHEMICAL BALANCE" will include (by popular request) the new versions of "DednSyde" & "Bekuz" which were previously recorded at Reel Time Audio and were only available on exclusive demos. So the total track listing (in no particular order) is as follows:

D.T.A.
WITHER
YOU
KNUM
FACES
ENDORPHINE
BEKUZ
DEDNSYDE

Look for another Webisode very soon. Peace and thanks for the support.

Hey everyone! We are happy to announce that our 3rd album is set for a late 2006, early 2007 release.  The new disc will be called "Chemical Balance" and will tell the tales of the last few years of our lives.  We are starting to play limited live shows again and will be out in full force with the release of the disc to promote it as best we can.  Until then, please check back often for Webisodes from Wizard Studios.  We will be posting text and video blogs of our experiences in the studio.  You can also check our My Space page at www.myspace.com/corefactorrocks.  For now you can view some thoughts about our last album below.  C-ya soon!

What "SAMSARA" means to us?

01. "DEAD INSIDE"
This song is quickly turning out to be the crowd favorite.  It means alot to me (mb) because it was the first song I wrote a rap for.  It also means alot because Jigsawskittle helped me write the lyrics for it which largely deal with an e-mail I received from an x-band member.  It was childish and gutless.  Some of the actual sentences from the email show up in the song.  We have high hopes for this tune though.  It was also the first song mixed by The Blood Brothers (mb & bones) from our own studio "Wizard Studios."

 02. "BECAUSE"
I can remember working on the chorus of this song for hours.  We had about 7 different melodies we were trying and nothing was working.  We knew we had to have something kewl b/c the song had so much potential.  Finally Droo said lets roll it one more time and out came the chorus you now hear.  Simplicity.  This was one of the first songs that showed that we could work together as a band b/c everyone came up with key ingredients.  I also knew that I wanted to have a kick ass solo but didn't want my style on it.  Therefore I had to call on the unbelievable talents of my bro, Johnny B.  And there you have it.  "Because" was born.  You will be hearing this on 97.1 The Eagle very soon.  We are re-tracking it with producer Eric Delegard very soon.

03. "HUMANS"
"I could of been a contender!"  Thats what this song says to me.  It turned out better than I expected.  Bones worked up a killa intro that you may have heard live of late; and Droo sang his ass off.  You guys are gonna freak when you hear this one.  Its in the top 3 for the album in my opinion.  It paints a picture of how humanity has worked itself into a lethargic state, and promps you to wake up and think for yourself and believe in yourself.  Its a nice blend of melody and raw agression.  I love it!

"SLOW YOUR ROLL"
Slow Your Roll gets the award for most changed over the course of recording the album.  It started off completely different than the finished product.  Our style finally developed which forced the song to move into a new direction.  There are many firsts on this album as you will see.  This song has significance b/c it is the first tune that Bones and I wrote together.  After years of idolizing him, along with my other 2 brothers, we collaborated and it turned out beautifully.  Things are still coming and will continue to be created from this combination.

"MY BLOOD"
I can still remember sitting down on my bed with my guitar and no synth; and this song coming out.  Its funny how some songs like Blind begin by coming up with a kick ass beat but then some songs like My Blood which turned out to have an awesome underlying synth beat, started with just a guitar and a melody.  This was the first tune that we wrote long distance style with Droo still in Vermont.  I sent him an mp3 with the basic structure and chorus melody and he sent the rest back to me.  His melody filled in the space perfectly.

"HAND OF GOD"
This song was actually influenced by a song on our first album called "Bones."  I thought it had a great bass line and wanted to write something where the bass could really shine.  I had also wanted to write a song that dealt with the struggles I faced at an early age (middle school) in dealing with force fed religion and trying to discover, for myself, what it meant to be alive and how to pay respect to mother earth.  Thus Hand of God and the ending lines that ring so true to myself and many of us who are faced with this same struggle: "Get up and get back - I'll find it, I'll find it on my own!"

"BEST BEHAVE"
I can't help it; I love Type O Negative.  And what band is more sexy and seductive than Type O Negative.  Maybe Enigma but not as dark.  At any rate; I wanted to write a sexy song with a beat that moves you which actually touches on the give and take relationship of humans in the bedroom.  That suppressed desire to be dirty and agressive that we are told not to endulge in.  I believe that there is room for all kinds of sexual expression in this world as long as you have both parties consent.  There is nothing better than having nice dirty sex with the one you love.  Nothing wrong with that.  So Jesse, Bones and I set down and came up with a kewl groove that you could bounce to; I came up with the base chorus vox and gave it to Droo and said go with it.  He did.  It came out great.  I later added the rap for the 2nd verse b/c I wanted that hip hop flavor in it which can at times be very sexual.  I think Droo said it best during the bridge lyrics "All this aggression - stems from repression - just a twisted expression - to show you"

"AFTERSIGHT"
Well, this song is another first.  It was the first song that Droo, Bones and I wrote together.  This song really signalled a change in Core Factor.  It was really one of the first songs that Droo and I have really ever truly wrote together.  Its about losing someone but knowing that you will once again see them.  Its a parallel vision to an after-life but not really in a religious sense.  Hope you like it.
